Pear Apple Butter by Yulissa Santiago

 

Ingredients 

  • 1 gala, pink lady, or fuji apple,peeled 

  • and cut into 1- inch cubes teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 ripe d'anjou  or red pear, peeled and 

  •    teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation 

  1. Place the apple in a steamer pot  over boiling water and for 3 minutes .

  2. Place apples, pears and cinnamon in a food processor and puree until smooth .

  3. Serve.

Also, If pears are firm/hard, you can steam them for 3 minutes with the apples.
