Pastelon sweet plantain Angela

 


2 Pound ground beef 

5 pieces garlic

1 Onion

1 Spoon Goya Seasoning 

3 Spoon vegetable oil 

1 Green pepper 

2 Can 16oz diced tomato


  • 2 sweet yellow plantain

  • 2 spoon butter

  • 1 pound mozzarella cheese

  • 1 spoon salt

  • 2 liters water

  • 1 egg


(This recipe is for 7-8 people.) 



 

To cook the meat:

Wash the meat, add the garlic, the Goya seasoning, and add the teaspoon of salt. In a frying pan add 3 spoons of oil and wait for it to heat up, add the meat and cook for 30 minutes, then add the onion, the can tomato diced, and the green peppers, cover, and cook for 5 more minutes. 


To cook the yellow plantain:

In a pot put 2 liters of water and add 1 tablespoon of salt, wait to boil, and add the 8 peeled yellow plantain for 12 minutes until they are cooked. Then remove the hot water mash the yellow plantains watch 2 tablespoons of butter, mix well.

  • Add a layer of mashed yellow plantains in a medium aluminum pan until the entire surface is covered, then add the cooked ground meat, cover again with mashed yellow plantains until all meat is covered. Finally, add 1 raw egg on top of the mashed plantains to seal. Place 1 pound of mozzarella cheese and bake for 10 minutes at 350 F until the cheese melts.
